One of the things I enjoy most about travelling anywhere but especially older places is seeing evidnce of how people lived, or more specifically evidence that people once lived in a place.  As much as possible the internees at Manzanar attempted to maintain a sense of normalcy by creating a small town community complete with a town hall, post office and camp newspaper.
