Who knows why we form personal connections to books and movies.  It could be the story that touches us, the story, the setting or maybe a sense of wonder and curiosity.  I love period films.  I get pulled in to the architecture, costumes, the atmosphere.  So it was awesome to have a chance to visit the Mansfiied Reformatory in Mansfiled, OH where the Shawshank Redemption was filmed; helped me re-imagine the film and what the place was like when it was open.  Below are a few shots.  If you’d like to visit virtually, or actually, go here: http://www.mrps.org.
