The day after I complete a running event I like to wear the T-shirt and medal from the event because, well, I’m pretty darn proud of running 13.1 miles.  Each time I do this I get the best question from at least one of my freshman students, “Did you win?”

“When you run 13.1 miles, finishing is winning.”
