The Saturday Before

Walked into Starbucks this morning and overheard someone talking about the beginning of school. He was saying how the first part of the class would be spent passing out information and textbooks, that some kids take government first semester and others take economics and visa-versa, and I thought, “Man, can’t escape the fact that school is starting.”

Today I finally got around to lesson planning after a few days of moving last years files to a place where I can actually find them this year and reviewing individual lessons. Starting to feel accomplished. Additionally I made seating charts for each class which I ususally leave until the day before the studetns arrive. Hmm, “Don’t stand so close to me” just came on the radio; yet another school related coincidence.
